Hey! How’s it going?
This is my about section. It’s . . . a work in progress.
If you haven’t yet, please take a minute to read my very first post, “My Mom is Making me Do This” where I kinda lay out my process.
I should let you know, I have a couple of warnings:
- I am not an expert at . . . anything. I am barely adept at adulting. I am not a “real” cook, I’m not great at cleaning, organizing, decorating, or photography. I’m not a nutritionist or a dietician. I’m just a chick who got on WordPress. So I want to be 100% up front about the fact that I DO NOT have all the answers. You won’t lose weight on my eating plan. My system is not going to be the magic fix that makes life better. I mean, doing this makes life easier for me, but I don’t know about you. It might make it harder.
- I’m not really a recipe person. I ascribe to the idea that baking is a science, but cooking is an art. I measure & am careful when it comes to baking, but with cooking I eyeball & estimate. Some people are adamantly not ok with this, in the same way that I am adamantly not ok with spontaneity. That is ok. If you are that kind of person, you may want to find another blog. Alternatively, you could just find a recipe for the things I make. Whatever works for you.
- My family does not follow any special diet. We eat dairy, gluten, refined sugar, trans fats, GMOs, and conventionally grown produce. Sorry. If you have special dietary requirements, then I admire the hell out of your ability to stick to it, and I strongly recommend you not follow my plan. You could, however: modify these meals in a way that works for you, say “screw this” and find a blog that does work for you, or start your own blog. As you can see, I’m doing it, which means there are literally no requirements or prerequisites. If you are literate & have internet access you can start a blog.
Some blogs are even run by ppl who don’t appear to be literate.
I’m just saying.
4. Perhaps most importantly, if you have a great idea please share it! Do you have a recipe that’s delicious and simple? I want to know. Do you have a hack that has made your meal planning & prep easier? COMMENT WITH IT. If you have ideas, I want to hear them. PLEASE PLEASE COMMENT!
